Finding Faith [Monday, #208]

Faith is our theme this week, and we all have a unique faith story. After an experience that would change my destiny, I walked through the front door and stood in our living room. An hour earlier, I had heard the Gospel for the first time at a tiny church in Upstate New York. Seated on the couch, my parents asked me how the meeting went. I blurted out, “I was born again!” You should have seen the puzzled looks on their faces.
I hardly knew what it meant to be born again, but that’s how my journey of faith began nearly five decades ago as a high school junior.

KEY PASSAGE:

John 3:5-8

Jesus answered, 'Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.
