Jesus: The Ultimate Example of Surrender [Monday, #295]

You and I are all set in life. Comfortable homes, nice cars and padded bank accounts.

“Hey, that’s not me!” you say. You  push back on me. You rent, your car needs repairs and you’re living paycheck to paycheck.

Still, if you live in North America, you’re in the top 1% of the world’s population when it comes to wealth.

Why do I bring this up? Because our comfort is a buffer to surrender. Let's explore that further today.

Matthew 6:10-13 NIV

Our Father in heaven,

hallowed be your name,

your kingdom come,

your will be done,

on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us today our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts,

as we also have forgiven our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation, 

but deliver us from the evil one.
